Inspirational Quotes | Quote 313/365

This week, I will use quotes in Italian, from Italian authors. Which is your favorite? If you have a suggestion for a quote, or a weekly theme, please let me know in a comment below.

Fatti non foste a viver come bruti, ma per seguir virtute e conoscenza – Dante Alighieri

You were not made to live as brutes, but to follow virtue and knowledge – Dante Alighieri

Dante attributes this saying to Ulysses as he encounters him in hell in La Divina Commedia. I always liked it, because one of the strongest forces that pushed me all my life is my love for learning.

You are never too old to learn and discover a new passion: in fact, it will keep you younger and you will feel more alive. Give it a try.
