I am sure I am not the only one that did this…in fact I think it is rare to have a conversation with someone who is actually listening to what you say. This can spell big trouble in any relationship.
I learned about Imago Dialogue as I was researching this topic, and I thought it was a very interesting concept. The website describes it as a “A Path to Bringing Down Emotional Walls”. While, at first, it may appear a little contrived, give it a shot.
At the very list try the first step: Mirroring. You will be surprised by how difficult it is, unless you are really paying attention.
